The executive board of IAEP Local R7-664 Lapeer County EMS met last week to strategize upcoming union activities and ensure success for the local.

Local 664 President Kelli Cavner, Vice President Ryan Simons, Treasurer Mikaela Page, Chief Shop Steward Aaron White, Member at Large Jessica Clark and Former Local President Richard Radzwion sat down to plan events on the local's calendar, including upcoming negotiations with the employer in early fall.

The executive board gathers around a table to plan.

The Local planned a survey of the membership for the approaching bargaining sessions, hoping to hear directly from the people that the contract will impact.

We wish Local 664 the best in their negotiations and the rest of their upcoming events!

Union Local Tax Issues

Federal law now requires that every local union file an annual information return—Form 990, 990-EZ, or 990-N—with the IRS.

If your local fails to file under this new requirement, your local will lose its tax-exempt status.
