Local 167 Member Receives EMT Gold Medal Award

Members of Local R7-167, EMS professionals with Allina Medical Transportation of Minnesota, are proud to announce that member John Gritz recently received the EMT Gold Medal Award from the Minnesota Chapter of the VFW.
“John is an outstanding example of what it means to be an EMS professional,” said Local 167 President Brett Hopper. “He is one of the go-to members for both new and experienced EMTs and paramedics.”
John, who is a retired Army colonel, was nominated by his fellow EMS professionals in recognition of his dedication to the profession and to the patients he serves. A paramedic for the past ten years, John was also a field training officer and acted as a mentor to a large number of his fellow members.
