Local 152 Members Set to Shave Heads for Childhood Cancer

Members of Local R2-152, EMS professionals with the Union Volunteer Emergency Squad of New York, are gearing up to shave heads as a part of an upcoming St. Baldrick’s Foundation charity event.  Moneys raised in the event will go to fund childhood cancer research. 

The Local 152 team is asking for your support, and your hair, during the upcoming March 20 event, which will be held as follows:

The St. Baldrick’s Foundation is the world’s largest volunteer-driven fundraising program for childhood cancer research.  It funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization, with the exception of the U.S. government.  Since 2000, events have taken place in 24 countries and 50 U.S. states, raising over $69 million.
