Local 294 Ratifies New Contract Agreement

Following eight months of negotiations, the members of Local 294, EMS professionals with Hunters Ambulance of Connecticut, recently ratified a new contract agreement.
The agreement, which was overwhelmingly ratified by Local 294, includes significant across-the-board wage increases over the next four years. The local 294 Negotiating Committee worked diligently to also include a longevity raise for senior employees.
"This was a long process and everybody on the negotiating committee worked hard to get a fair agreement that our members can be proud of," said Local 294 Lead Negotiator Steve Carusone.
The negotiating committee members also worked diligently to lock-in health benefits at a 70% employer contribution.
